Client Overview: Kutter Callaway, a distinguished professor with two doctorate degrees (!), approached TidyCo seeking assistance with a comprehensive refresh of his digital presence and brand identity. He was about to launch a new podcast, "Be Afraid," produced by Christianity Today, that focuses on horror in film and television. Kutter required a more modern website, strategic social media consulting, promotional materials, and a brand identity package to enhance the podcast's overall impact.

Challenges Faced:

  1. Outdated Digital Presence: The existing website and promotional materials lacked a contemporary aesthetic and were out of date, hindering Kutter’s ability to engage with its target audience effectively.

  2. Limited Visibility: Be Afraid struggled to gain global recognition, and Kutter was particularly interested in expanding the podcast's reach upon its release.

  3. Undefined Brand Identity: The podcast lacked a cohesive brand identity, necessitating brand identity sessions to determine its tone and visual approach.

Our Approach:

  1. Website Redesign: TidyCo initiated the project by revamping the podcast's website. The design team incorporated modern aesthetics, ensuring a visually appealing and user-friendly interface. The website was optimized for easy navigation and made it easier to find his past books and teaching work.

  2. Social Media Consulting: Recognizing the power of social media in podcast promotion, our team provided comprehensive consulting on social media strategy. This included content planning, engagement tactics, and platform-specific strategies.

  3. Promotional Materials: To enhance the podcast's visibility, we crafted visually striking promotional materials. This included eye-catching graphics, promotional banners, and shareable content that aligned with the podcast's theme.

  4. Brand Identity Package: Collaborating closely with Kutter Callaway, we developed a brand identity package that determined the podcast's tone and visual approach. This involved defining the color palette, typography, and overall design elements that would resonate with the target audience and align with the podcast's thematic focus.

Outcomes:

  1. Modernized Look: The redesigned website provided a modern and cohesive visual identity for Be Afraid. The updated aesthetics reflected the high-quality content featured in the podcast, making it more appealing to both existing and potential listeners.

  2. Global Recognition: Following the implementation of our social media strategy and promotional materials, Be Afraid experienced a global reach. Notably, the podcast achieved the remarkable feat of becoming the #1 Film and Television podcast in Turkmenistan (LOL!).

  3. Enhanced Engagement: The combined efforts of the website redesign, social media consulting, promotional materials, and the brand identity package resulted in increased listener engagement. The podcast not only attracted a larger audience but also fostered a more interactive and loyal community.
